Mike Gimbel Associates is located in Towson, Maryland and is led by Mike Gimbel, a nationally known substance abuse expert in the areas of education, prevention, intervention and treatment. 		Who is Mike Gimbel? Mike Gimbel has been involved in the field of substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment for nearly 30 years. He is currently The Director of the “Powered By Me”, program which educates parents, students, coaches and other health professionals about the effects of using steroids and other performance enhancing substances. Mike is also the President of Mike Gimbel Associates, a Substance Abuse Education & Consultant Service providing programs throughout the State of Maryland and the nation. In his previous roles as Director of Substance Abuse for Baltimore County, Maryland and Director of Substance Abuse Education for Sheppard Pratt Health System, Mike has been awarded eight Achievement Awards presented by the National Association of Counties .In addition, Mike has won the Director’s Community Leadership Award from the FBI, a Commendation Award from the National Commission Against Drunk Driving, a Congressional Achievement Award, and is currently listed in several of the Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World publications. Mike has served on the Students Against Destructive Decision (SADD) National Board of Directors and as a professional advisor to the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health’s Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in Drug Abuse. Michael is also certified by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), to provide an athlete’s substance abuse program to NCAA Colleges and Universities. Mike hosts two substance abuse television shows entitled Straight Talk and Teen Talk, and is frequently called upon by the local and national media as one of the area’s most knowledgeable substance abuse expert.
